Barrel Base
- Rough cut 2 x 12 inch Western Canadian Red Cedar from Vancouver Island. Every base has its own unique coloring and fingerprint. Foundation is everything!
- Sure footed design facilitates versatile movement or placement.
- Base is fully treated with clear coat sealer for long lasting durability
Barrel Materials
- S4S fine finish Knotty Canadian red cedar (clear cedar available upon request)
- 2x4 barrel Staves and end walls
- Staves are shaped 2" bead and cove
- End walls are shaped square tongue and groove for ultimate strength and vapor seal
Door
- Solid heavy duty 2 X 4 tongue and groove construction for locking in the steam and heat
- Heavy 2 x 4 outside door frame
- Wide spacious entry area
- Optional 16 x 32 amber tinted glass window
Banding
Saunas are exposed to extreme elements during heating cycles. Genuine Barrel cooperage and assembly is a skill we take seriously. 2"x 1/8th steel banding has an unmatched 60 thousand lbs. of tensile strength ensuring a tight seal.
